Cree announced the release of a new generation of their X-Lamp range, the XP-G.  This LED can produce 345 lumens at 1 amp, which is a 37 percent increase in brightness compared to the existing XR-E range.  The XP-G is also 53 percent more efficient than the XR-E, thus leading the way to even brighter LED lights for us all.
